In a world where remote working is becoming increasingly important, owning a scanner can come in handy. For good reason, it is not uncommon to have to convert physical documents into digital files to share them with colleagues.

Good news for iPhone owners: an alternative to the scanner exists and it is in their mobile phone. In fact, thanks to functionality built into the native Notes application, Apple-branded devices can easily scan, save, and share files. Here are the steps to follow.

  • Open a new note and click the camera icon

  • Choose “Document Scanner” from the menu that appears

  • Place your document within the viewing angle of the camera. After framing, press the shutter button to start the scan
