After leather, silicone has now apparently fallen out of favor as a material at Apple.
We have already reported to you that Apple no longer wants to introduce new leather cases. Now it is said that there will no longer be any new silicone products for the iPhone 15.
Environmentally friendly materials in the future
Instead, the group relies on new concepts in product design. The focus is on more environmentally friendly production – and more sustainable materials.
iPhone cases, watch bands and more affected
Incidentally, it’s probably not just iPhone cases that are affected. The change is also planned for Apple Watch bracelets and cables. There is no official announcement about this yet – and a possible overarching schedule has not been leaked either.
