In the new installment of ‘Glass Onion’, the intrepid detective finds himself in a luxurious private estate in the Greek islands where he meets a very diverse group of friends who attend an annual meeting of a billionaire. As in the best murder mysteries, each character hides secrets, lies, and motivations.. Therefore, the moment someone is found dead, everyone becomes a suspect.

In conversation with Trome, director Rian Johnson on what it was like working with Daniel Craig again, the protagonist of Glass Onion, and unravels the mysteries surrounding the actor’s personality behind the scenes.

“Daniel plays Benoit Blanc, the detective; but he has a very different role because he has the opportunity in this film to do some physical humor, it’s a bit funnier, we can see the film through his eyes and I thought it was very funny (…) He has a great time in the movie, that’s the other fun thing about being on set with Daniel, He is a very funny person, I think maybe because of James Bond many people think he is very severe and seriousbut he’s actually a lot of fun to be around and playing this role allows him to channel his inner child in a really fun way, I think…”says Johnson in an interview on Zoom.

WHY WAS IT PREMIERED IN THEATERS BEFORE ON NETFLIX

In addition, the famed director reveals Why it was important to release ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ in theaters weeks before it came to the popular streaming platform.

“As much as we want people to enjoy the movie at home and watch it with their families over Christmas on Netflix, I think these movies also have great pleasure to offer people watching in a crowded theater (. ..) I want to show that cinema and streaming can coexist and complement each other, and if it’s a great movie, People will see it on both platforms and both will benefit.” points out.

In his return to the franchise he created, Oscar-nominated filmmaker Rian Johnson writes and directs ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,’ assembling an all-star cast that includes Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, with Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista.
