‘La que se avecina’ and ‘Aquí no hay quien viva’ are two of the great national fictions that, despite time, continue to conquer thousands of viewers. There are many actors and actresses who have gone through both series; one of them, Isabel Ordaz, the interpreter who gave life to ‘La hierbas’ on Antena 3, and Araceli on Telecinco. During her last interview on the ‘Hoy por hoy’ program on Cadena SER, the 66-year-old from Madrid, explains in a very controversial way the differences that exist between one fiction and another.
Isabel Ordaz has not hesitated when it comes to being very critical of ‘La que se avecina’. “Sitcom is gone, and I know what I’m talking about because I’ve been doing sitcom for three years. But then, when things changed, it was no longer a sitcom”, he begins by saying. “Everything was based on the fact that the phrase had to be funny, witty, witty. Wit kills comedy. And I’m playing it, huh? ”, She adds.
“Comedy needs a lot of situational time. It is made based on counterplans. It’s not so much what you say, but what happens and the reactions of the characters”, he continues to explain in ‘Today’. The actress assures that comedy “is for intelligent people”: “Another thing is mockery, which does not interest me. What puts my own integrity at stake is funny to me”.
Proud of ‘There is no one alive here’
In contrast to these statements, Isabel Ordaz only has words of gratitude for ‘There is no one living here’. “It was a great series. It was a situation series, a classic sitcom. The scripts were spectacular, there was an extraordinary cast. There were cliché and typical characters, but within their pettiness there was tenderness”, he maintains.
