It is confirmed that the Caribbean Series returns to Miami

The Professional Baseball League of the Dominican Republic (Lidom) reported that the 2028 Caribbean Seriesof which it is the headquarters, will be held at the Ioan Depot Park in Miami, in the United States.

The 2024 Caribbean Series, also held in Miami, was a resounding success, breaking audience and attendance records. More than 340,000 fans gathered at the home of the Miami Marlins during the 25 games of the tournament.

The final, which crowned the Tiburones de La Guaira of Venezuela as champions after defeating the Tigres del Licey of the Dominican Republic, attracted 36,677 spectators, setting a new record for a Caribbean Series match.

“At the recent assembly of the Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation, a request made by the Professional Baseball League of the Dominican Republic (Lidom) for the staging of the 2028 Caribbean Series, at the Ioan Depot Park in Miami, was known and approved. , home of the Florida Marlins, a team with which Lidom signed a broad collaboration agreement,” the statement said.
