This coffee shop is one of the oldest establishments in Soho, one of London’s trendiest areas. Created in 1887 by Hassan, an Algerian immigrant, then sold to a Belgian family, before being sold to an Englishman, the Algerian coffee stores still retains its name with an Algerian touch.

Although the title of the oldest store in the British capital belongs to “The Jamaica Wine House”, the Algerian coffee stores has become a reference in terms of coffee and attracts coffee lovers from all over the world, eager to know more about its history.
Currently managed by two English sisters of the Crocetta family, the establishment offers more than 80 types of coffee beans, and 120 teas, picked in several countries around the world. The current owners of this establishment are happy to tell every detail of the history of their coffee shop. On one of the interior walls of this shop, you can see a photo immortalizing the beginnings of this establishment in the presence of its founder Hassan.
