The school snack and lunch program has become one of the most profitable businesses in recent years, thus being a real attraction for any businessperson in the field of food provision, however, for a decade only a few have monopolized the millionaire tenders nationwide. According to the Comptroller’s report, in the last 10 years (period 2012-2022), the total number of school feeding contracts awarded nationwide was G. 6,016,246,324,027, which in US dollars amounts to the sum of US$1,044,292,695. In 2022, the total sum between governments, municipalities and MEC was G. 885,298,763,498 (US$ 120,514,397).
