ANDhe Soudal Quick Step has officially announced what its director confirmed Patrick Lefevere a few weeks ago: Michael Landa run in the Belgian team. And it will do so for the next two seasons.
“I am very excited about the idea of joining Soudal Quick-Step, an incredible team that I have always had a lot of respect for. From the outside, I was always impressed with how their runners stick together in all kinds of situations and how they always support their leader. Until now I have been in Italian, Spanish and British teams, and now I really want to discover the Belgian culture”, indicated the Spanish rider in the official note.
“I am happy and motivated by this new challenge and by supporting Remco Evenepoel on your goals. I come here with a lot of experience, especially in the Grand Tours, where I have been fighting for the podium or have helped others win several times in the past. I have always felt comfortable supporting younger riders and I know I fit in here. I want to give my best in the coming seasons, I am convinced that I can help Remco a lot and, at the same time, I am confident that when I have the opportunity, I myself can go for a good result”, said Mikel, the third cyclist.
