The field of view (or FOV) regulator present in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 can give some players an advantage. In recent years, FOV sliders have become quite common in first-person shooters on consoles, as many popular franchises have added them to the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of the games.

For example, FPS titles like Borderlands 3, Destiny 2, Rainbow Six Siege, and Apex Legends include a FOV controller. The same goes for the recently released Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, as both titles allow users to change the FOV to their liking.

However, in the original versions of Warzone for consoles, the slider did not exist. FOVas Activision did not add this feature due to its performance impact on the PS4 and Xbox One versions.

Still, it was added to Warzone 2and it seems that users responded positively to this change, despite possibly giving some players an unfair advantage.

As reported by CharlieIntel, a professional Call of Duty: Warzone 2 player named Lucky Chamu shows how FOV slider can give some players an advantage during matches. While many users will probably increase the FOV to a number they are comfortable playing with, Lucky Chamu decided to lower it to 60 in the middle of a game.

As shown in the video, the player was having difficulty aiming at distant targets with the FOV set to 120 in a Warzone 2 match. Lucky Chamu then lowered it to 60, allowing for a much better view of the opponent and thus , easier to hit.
