Jana Azizi, 34, has good news to announce. Well, actually her RTL colleague Katja Burkard, 58, does that for her. In her Instagram story, the moderator reveals that Jana said yes to her boyfriend Johann Ackermann, 39.

“I’m in the mask. Who am I meeting? The newly minted Mrs. Ackermann!” Katja Burkard cheers in the video. “Why does that sound so strange?” she replies, smiling. The big celebration took place on September 9th, 2023, as shown in her repost.
Colleague Katja was apparently one of the guests, as she revealed: “My goodness, she looked so beautiful.” She then wants to know whether her last name would really be Ackermann. Yes, it’s official, confirms the 34-year-old and holds a printed photo up to the camera in which she can be seen in a white two-piece suit, hand in hand with her lover, who is wearing a light gray suit and bow tie. “But not on television,” she adds and jokes: “On television I’ll remain Azizi. I’ve worked hard to achieve this so that maybe two people will recognize me.”
Johann Ackermann and Jana Azizi got engaged in Paris
Last December, Johann Ackermann got down on his knees in front of her and asked for her hand in marriage. The triathlete proposed to her in front of the “Mur des je t’aime”, a wall at Montmartre in Paris on which the words “I love you” can be read in over 250 languages around the world. She shared pictures of the special moment with her community on Instagram.
So now the time had come. Jana Azizi and Johann Ackermann went to the altar. “I’m so happy for you,” says Katja Burkard, who hugs her colleague tightly. “I wish you the best marriage in the world.” We can only agree with that.
