During a surprise visit to San Juan, the deputy of Libertad Avanza and presidential candidate, javier mileiHe harshly questioned “the macroeconomic disaster” in Argentina, insisted on his idea of dollarizing and warned that, currently, “the chances of hyperinflation are enormous.”
After the uncertainty of the last days due to the sustained increase in the value of the North American currency, which came to quote $445 in its free version, while the official ended the week just one peso lower than that figure, the opposition leader gave his vision of the situation.
“The chances of hyperinflation are enormous. If I become President, the mandate is clear. Lower inflation or I’ll hit you with a volley. My commitment is to lower inflation and I’m going to beat her down. With dollarization it is faster. If not, I’ll make a big adjustment in the public sector that will absorb my pesos, ”he explained.

In this sense, the liberal economist maintained that “the best thing is to make reforms that are irreversible”, so that they are maintained despite the changes in government, although he remarked that if he wins the elections and reaches the Casa Rosada, he will go down inflation “one way or the other”.
“The environmental conditions are not minor. There is a macroeconomic collapse, but if hyperinflation comes, the caste will come on its knees to ask for dollarization, ”said Milei, during a press conference that she gave this Saturday at the San Juan social club.
It was shortly before leading a walk through the center of the city, which began at the intersection of Rivadavia and General Acha streets, as part of his sudden visit to the province, where the space does not have any candidate for governor.
Although he did not travel, then, to support any local leader and, unlike other events, he was only accompanied by his intimate circle, the deputy managed to take a new photo of himself surrounded by militants, like the ones he got in Patagonia.

“The difficult scenario is that they plant the bomb one minute before leaving. My first alternative is to take the proposal to Congress. They may reject it. I would not go for a binding referendum, but for popular consultation. If they reject it, I accelerate the cut in public spending, ”he added.
According to INDEC, the rise in prices last month in the country was 7.7% and the annual rate rose to 104.3%, which is why Argentina was first in the Latin American inflation ranking, surpassing to Venezuela.
In this regard, the leader of La Libertad Avanza remarked that “It is very important to quickly lower inflation”although he considered that “wanting to recreate a currency is more expensive and riskier” than moving forward with dollarization.
“In Convertibility, the Central Bank was independent and had harsh rules. That peso was in demand for money. That rule was successful and won elections. When the treasury ran out of money, he broke the rule”he questioned.
