Mexico City.- Jenicka López discovered, through a DNA test, that the man her mother Jenni Rivera led her to believe was her father actually isn’t.

The fourth daughter of the deceased “Diva de la Banda” revealed in her podcast that her biological father is of Puerto Rican descent.

“I decided to talk about this topic because it is part of my story, it is part of who Jenicka is. I felt that I was going to heal inside, not carry such a heavy secret on me, I wanted to let it go,” said the 25-year-old.

Jenni’s three eldest children: Chiquis, Jacqie and Michael, are the children of Trino Marín, who is in jail for sexually abusing his daughters.

As for the minor children of the late singer, Jenicka and Johnny, it was always believed that they were the children of Juan López, who has already died.

“Johnny and I did a DNA test and it turned out we’re half-siblings, which means we don’t have the same father and at that point I was like, ‘Fuck!’ We’re here because I didn’t have my mom to tell me what. what happened or any clues or ideas of who my real father is.

“So, I had to do it on my own. Luckily I had the support of my friends, my brother and I went looking everywhere.

Eventually, she found out that her biological father is a Puerto Rican man with whom her mother had a relationship while Juan López was incarcerated.

“Out of respect and privacy for my father (López) and his family, I don’t want to say the name or anything,” he said.

He recounted that his biological father never knew that his mother became pregnant with him. However, the young woman still considers López as her father because he said that he was the one who raised her.

“About a year ago I discovered this secret, it hurt me a lot, it hurt my confidence as a person. I kept it a secret for a long time because I didn’t want to damage my mother’s image,” he explained.
