In his speech, the parish priest recalled that the news reached him at dawn on March 22 that Noel Portillo, responsible for the murder of parents Joaquín and Javier, had been assassinated.
“There was a sadness, that is not the justice we seek, we cannot be happy with the death of a child of God, rather it was a call to redouble efforts in the construction of conditions of peace,” said the priest Jorge Atilano.
Likewise, he stated that people grow by imitating others, “the boy imitates his father, the girl imitates her mother, this is how they build their personality, who did Noel Portillo imitate? Why did violence seduce you? What voids were in his heart that made him fill it with weapons and power? Who taught you to be a family or to be a father?
In the same way, the Jesuit said that there is so much blood that runs through the country, that there are so many territories governed by children without parents and that it is necessary to reflect together on the nation that one has and wants.
