Mexico City.- The President of the United States, Joe Biden, agreed to land at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) on his next visit to Mexico.

Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard reported that the North American President will arrive in the country next Sunday, January 8, that is, one day before what was initially scheduled.

The Democrat will arrive at the air terminal located in Zumpango, in the State of Mexico, aboard Air Force One.

“North American Leaders Summit Update: The President of the United States, Joe Biden, will arrive on Sunday afternoon, January 8, at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport. He will be welcomed to Mexico!!”, the Secretary posted. Of Foreign Affairs.

In recent days, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador asked his North American counterpart to arrive at that air terminal as “a gesture of friendship.”

However, the arrival of at least three United States Air Force planes at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) sparked speculation about the possibility that Biden rejected the Tabasco’s request.
