After seven years together and two children together, Joe Jonas, 34, and Sophie Turner, 27, have put an end to their relationship. The two were married for four years and celebrated a real dream wedding in 2019. Of course, they had no idea at the time that they would only be a few years away from the ruins of their marriage. In an official statement via Instagram, they both confirmed that they had separated. There is “a lot of speculation about the reasons,” Jonas and Turner continued, “but this is truly a mutual decision and we hope that everyone can respect our desire for privacy, both for us and for our children.”

When the singer performed in front of a sold-out audience at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday evening, September 9th, he broke his silence and spoke out in person for the first time in front of his fans. “It’s been a tough week. I just want to say: If you don’t hear it from these lips, don’t believe it. Okay?” The artist refers to the media coverage surrounding his separation and appealed to his fans’ reason at the concert: Only he and Sophie themselves know how it really happened. “Thank you everyone for your love and support. Me and my family love you,” he concluded his emotional message.
They became parents for the second time just a few months ago
The decision to separate was certainly not an easy one for the couple, after all, there are two children involved. The first daughter named Willa was born in 2020, the second child was born at the end of 2022. As insiders told TMZ, the couple had been having “serious problems” for at least six months. These had now become so bad that a divorce was unavoidable.

However, the separation came as a surprise because the musician and the “Game of Thrones” actress keep their private lives largely out of the public eye. For this reason, no one noticed anything about their problems, they said. They continued to attend events together and always appeared to be a happy couple. The truth, however, is said to have looked completely different. And the fans can now see the result: On September 5th, Joe Jonas officially filed for divorce, the stars’ love has really expired.
