The 16th season of jungle camps is in the starting blocks: Also Stars and starlets from NRW will be there this year when it says “I’m a star – get me out of here”. The new season starts on Friday (January 13) at 9:30 p.m. on RTL. We have an overview of the NRW stars fighting for victory in the Australian jungle.
Jungle camp 2023: These stars from NRW are there
- Claudia Effenberg: Claudia Effenberg (born Koehler) was born Menden in the Sauerland and was discovered as a model in Iserlohn at the age of 19. However, the 57-year-old became really well-known as the wife of well-known footballers – she was married to footballer Thomas Strunz from 1997 to 2002. Three years later she married his then Bayern teammate: Stefan Effenberg. He wrote her a love letter as motivation for the jungle, as Effenberg said in the RTL interview.
The new season jungle camp starts on Friday, January 13th on RTL – after two years it will be back in the Australian jungle. These other candidates are included:

There is a new face in the moderation team: Jan Köppen (39) will moderate alongside Sonja Zietlow. Köppen is already known from formats like “Take me out” and “Ninja Warrior”. By the way: Sonja Zietlow also comes from North Rhine-Westphalia: the moderator was born in Bonn.
