After almost eight hours of deliberation, the jury delivered -at midnight this Saturday- a verdict of not guilty in the seven counts of sexual abuse and lewd acts against the former religion teacher Jesús Canales Bruno.
The trial lasted five years and Canales Bruno was accused of having sexually assaulted three of his students, when the victims were 16 years old, between 2017 and 2018 at the Nuestra Señora de Belén school in Guaynabo.
The students left the room very affected after the verdict.
