Mexico City.- Carlos Villagrán, better known as ‘Kiko’, celebrated his 79th birthday this Thursday at the Circo Hermanos Caballero, in Phoenix, Arizona.

With a mariachi and cake, it was how his colleagues and audience celebrated another year of life for the actor known for his participation in the program El Chavo del Ocho.

Villagrán is giving his goodbye tour at the Circo Hermanos Caballero, which will last about a month, with almost ten performances a day.

“I am in good health, I feel good and I want to say goodbye to my audience as it should be. I did not want to do it, but Don Ramón’s son (Valdés) was the one who convinced me, I did not want to go because of my age.

“He spoke to me and told me ‘if my dad were alive and in a wheelchair, people would take him, they want to see them.’ now,” Villagrán said when he announced the performances in the United States.
