“Fadenatelier” shows exhibition “STRICK-Font” in the wood workshop in Hittisau.

Hittisau. A new exhibition can be seen in the studio room of the wood workshop in Hittisau. Creative, knitted works will be shown under the theme “STRICK-Font”. The women’s collective “Fadenatelier” with Eveline Bischof, Petra Dauzenroth, Cornelia Duelli, Gertrud Faißt, Frieda Faller, Roswitha Noventa and Karin Riedmann has been creatively dealing with the technique of knitting for decades and has designed interesting textile works on the subject of writing. In the exhibits shown in the exhibition, strokes and lines become writing, yarn and thread become knitwear.

Innovative knitting projects

The seven women from the “Fadenatelier” have been developing and implementing innovative knitting projects for years. “It’s always important for us to have a combination with a special task or different subject areas in order to develop new impulses and suggestions for independent projects,” explains textile artist Eveline Bischof. This design is done far from the clichés of purposeful and instruction-dependent knitting.

Exhibition until February 25th

“The works in our exhibition show how we linked and entangled the wool threads with threads of thought and text in the thread workshop. Where we reattached torn threads, strengthened threads that were too thin, reused those that had been severed and where we wound and developed our personal thread into a group thread,” explains “landlady” Gertrud Faißt, explaining the intentions of the creative group. The exhibition in the wood workshop is open until February 25, 2023, on Fridays and Saturdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and by appointment: 0664 2444978 or [email protected]. ME
