Kristin Gjelsvik (36) shared on Thursday afternoon that she was being examined at Drammen hospital, after having struggled with intense headaches in recent weeks, particularly in connection with exertion.

She describes herself as a person with a high pain threshold, who “never” goes to the doctor, but that today was enough.

– Shivers

“When the same intense headache suddenly announced its arrival during an exercise, I booked an appointment immediately,” writes Gjelsvik on Instagram.

The 36-year-old praises the hospital’s staff, and says that she got a doctor’s appointment after only 20 minutes and was then referred to a neurologist.

According to Gjelsvik, the neurologist expressed concern that there could be a brain haemorrhage.

“Just the word itself makes me shudder… Brain hemorrhage? What?? Me? What?? Fortunately, it’s not a certainty at all, but it’s actually not something we can completely rule out yet. Now I’m in the best hands, I’m waiting for the results from the CT scan, and if necessary there will possibly be hospitalization and a spinal puncture,” writes Gjelsvik.

She hoped it was only a tension headache, since she was actually going to appear on NRK’s Debate tonight, where exposure and commercialization of children on the internet is the topic, something she is passionate about.

– Concerned, but composed

Gjelsvik’s manager, Vilde Kristine Darvik, tells Good Evening Norway that the flu will be admitted to hospital overnight.

– She has taken tests that at first looked very good, so she thought she could go to the Debate, but then they wanted to hold her anyway. Now she is staying overnight and will take more tests, says Darvik.

The Maxsocial manager says they are worried, but composed:

– She is not screaming in pain, but of course it is a very frightening situation.
