These are difficult times for the Argentine point guard, Facundo Campazzo, the brand new reinforcement of Red Star of Serbia.
For now, Campazzo will not be able to play in the Euroleague due to a sanction imposed by the Euroleague Finance Panel after finding the Serbian club guilty of the Financial Stability and Fair Play Regulations.
The measure, which will last until March at least, led to a protest by his teammates and fans of the team on social networks, under the hashtag #FreeFacu.
Also through the social network Twitter, Facundo Campazzo expressed himself about the bad moment he must go through.
“I’m tired and sad about this whole situation,” the Cordovan point guard posted on his official account. “All I ask is that you please let me play,” he added, captioning the official Euroleague account.
His club, Red Star, will not be able to register new basketball players until March 1, ahead of the final stages of the Euroleague.
