A team made up of agents from the National Police, Firefighters and the Army resumed the search actions for the five people who are still missing after the landslides registered in recent days in La Perla Chaupi.

Third day of rescue work

Ombudsman calls for speed
The Ombudsman asked local and regional governments to speed up assessments of the stability of the ground to carry out rescue interventions and debris removal.
“We urge local and regional authorities to adopt the necessary measures to transfer people to safe places, as well as provide them with humanitarian aid, medical assistance and psychological support after landslides in the area,” the constitutional body said on its Twitter account.
Indeci delivered help
The National Institute of Civil Defense (indeci), through its Decentralized Directorate of Lima Provinces, delivered a total of 1.75 tons of humanitarian aid to attend to the victims after the landslides in the populated center of La Perla (Huaral).
