The analysis carried out by the highest house of studies in Mexico pointed out that it could be the work sustained in 1986and not that of the official, the original; however, it has not made a determination in the case.
Since in previous days the UNAM supported the decision taken by the Faculty of Higher Studies (fes) Aragon from extend analysiswhich happened after the institution received notarized testimony that would prove that Yasmín Esquivel is not responsible.

The educational institution explained that the coincidences between both academic works “presume that the original thesis was the one supported in 1986″, however it will be until the new testimony is analyzed that the FES Aragón will give a final verdict.
Therefore, until academic and administrative activities are resumed, a new session will be convened, since the university described the most recent facts as contradictory, for which reason it indicated that the need to collect additional information before FES Aragón determines who is responsible.
In its pronouncement, UNAM also detailed that the modification of the minister’s thesis file, mentioned last Friday, December 30, was due to the fact that missing pages were added to the document.
The university pointed out that at the time of purchasing both theses involved in the plagiarism, eight pages were discovered missing from Esquivel’s workwhich were not added during the digitalization process that had to be carried out because the thesis had originally been microfilmed.
However, so far Yasmín Esquivel maintains that she has been the object of a campaign of lies and slander without substantiationbut according to her testimony she is ready to make the truth known.
