Shortly before the CES technology fair, advertising material for new AMD processors that have not yet been presented leaked. It appears to be three new variants of the Ryzen 7000 series.

That reports that Online magazine VideoCardz. It’s about a leaked presentation in which you can find out some details about the AMD Ryzen 7000 processors (not the X versions).

The company apparently plans to announce the new models with lower TDP on January 10, 2023, just in time for CES 2023. These are for the target group who are waiting for cheaper Ryzen processors. Even with lower clock speeds and TDP, the upcoming non-X Ryzen 7000 processors should offer decent performance at lower prices.

CPU power consumption

According to the technical details from the presentation, AMD will lower the base clock and the boost clock to fit the new processors in a lower TDP frame of 170 watts and 105 watts respectively to just 65 watts while using the same number of cores and threads is maintained. The upcoming models are called Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 5 7600 and are offered at prices of 429, 329 and 229 dollars. In terms of performance, the leaked slide shows that the Ryzen 9 7900 is said to be around 19 percent faster on average than its Ryzen 5000-series counterpart. This applies to the combination with the AMD RX 6950XT.

What has not yet been announced is the planned market launch. After the presentation on January 10th, it could happen quickly – there was already talk of a timely availability.
