Lochau. The traditional “Soup Day” in Lochau was well attended, because it has been a matter of course for years: “The family” eats in the rectory on this Sunday.

Under the motto “Sharing is strength”, the numerous visitors, young and old, enjoyed a barley, pancake or goulash soup or a soup with baked semolina dumplings in a relaxed atmosphere. There was Wienerle for the children, and for dessert they treated themselves to a magnificent, home-made cake.

The dedicated team from the parish mission group and the working group of Catholic soldiers around the responsible overall organizer Petra Rührnschopf naturally had their hands full in the kitchen, at the buffet or at the cash desk “in the service of a good cause” and were happy about a great success . As has been the case for many years, the proceeds from the soup day benefit ongoing parish projects.

Help around the world and in your own community

Concordia’s social projects in Eastern Europe and a children’s home in Barati/Romania, the home of Pastor Cristinel Dobos, are supported. New on the list of recipients of donations is the diocesan foundation Brothers and Sisters in Need, in particular the project “Hunger in Malawi/Malambo” in Southeast Africa.

But also in the community itself, the Lochau parish youth, the campaign “Mitanand – Füranand z’Lochau” and the operation of the parish home Franz Xaver are taken into account accordingly.
