Niels van Duinen, Technical Director at Excelsior says: “Adrian noticed earlier this season that he lacked strength, but has always tried to continue training intensively. His therapist compares the disease with a car: If there is no petrol in the tank, the engine can no longer start. Simply put, his body has now shut down its system and needs treatment.” Fein moved to Rotterdam from Bayern Munich on a free transfer last summer. So far, the six has been used 15 times.
