On February 4th, the Austrians took place in the GSG9 hall in Vienna. Indoor championships for the U20 age group in sprints and jumps. Annika Rhomberg was the only Gisinger athlete to come.
In an exciting long jump competition, she was only one centimeter ahead of her pursuer after the 5th attempt with 5.82 m. However, Annika improved in the last attempt to 5.89 m and thus deservedly won the gold medal. She then set a new personal best time of 7.87 in the 60m heat and easily qualified for the final. There she sprinted to rank 5 in 7.94 seconds.
A week earlier, in Dornbirn, the VLV Indoor Championships discharged. Started in general class Daniel Bertschler with PB of 8.38 seconds over 60 m hurdles (1st), 1.97 m in the high jump (1st) and 7.14 seconds over 60 m (2nd) satisfactorily into the new season. The other placements of the Gisinger athletes: Lumbardh Murtezi 1.89 m 2nd high men, Max Schneider 3.10 m 3rd pole vault men, Oscar Planter 10.89 m 3rd bullet MU18 and 7.82 sec. 4th 60 m MU18, Luca Mueller 4.85 m 5. Wide MU18, Annika Rhomberg 7.96 sec. 2nd 60m women and 5.21m 3rd wide women, Verena Reinin 8.39 sec. 4. 60m women, Annalena Hammerer 8.38 sec. 3rd 60m WU18 and 9.92m 3rd ball WU18. U14 athlete Anika Grutsch jumps 2.30 m in her first pole vault competition and wins gold WU16.
