The National Charity Lottery (LNB) held this Wednesday a raffle dedicated to the El Salvador Fire Department, to honor these Salvadoran heroes who risk their lives to save others in extreme situations.

The event took place this afternoon at the Lottery Multiple Use Room and was broadcast live on Radio El Salvador 96.9 FM, Facebook live, YouTube and the website www.lnb.gob.sv

The general manager of the Lottery, Héctor Aguiar, highlighted the work carried out by the Fire Department. “It is very gratifying for the Lottery to celebrate a draw this Wednesday that is dedicated to a heroic group that is always ready to attend to emergencies at the national level. I refer to the Fire Department of our country, who have the admiration of Salvadorans for their noble and unconditional work, which they have been carrying out for 140 years.” said.

Aguiar stressed that the Fire Department today has the support of the central government as never before, and that the institution is strengthened. «Now they are a modern institution, with the recent approval of the new Law of the Fire Department of El Salvador by the Legislative Assembly, they have a current regulatory framework that will allow them to act effectively and efficiently in emergencies. The Fire Department is undergoing a historic transformation! For this reason, this Wednesday the Lottery draw is dedicated to you: The heroes of the nation“, he stated.

This week’s lottery tickets are printed with images highlighting the work of first responders.

The raffle has a first prize of $175,000, a second prize of $20,000, and the third prize of $10,000. In total, more than 12,000 prizes were distributed that can change the lives of many Salvadorans.
