Luis Miguel: It is the sun, the moon and the stars

Gone are the days when Luis Miguel looked overweight and neglected, a time when he was the target of ridicule and memes. He today he looks very attractive, slim and shining as always. Or could it be the love he feels for businesswoman Paloma Cuevas that transformed him?

To learn more about the renewed image and Luis Miguel’s return to the stage, The truth spoke with the journalist Miguel Angel Arritoladirector of the Ajá magazine and specialist in entertainment issues.

Is he in love or does he use women to perpetuate his gallant image?

“I don’t think his change of image is for love, I think that the ego and wanting to return with new energy led him to it. I don’t think he looks for women, they come to him and I think that the day he really looks for one, that day will not only change his image, it will change his world”.

It coincides with his tour. Is it casual or do you want to attract attention?

“Everything goes together. He knows that it is a product that must be sold and not wasted, and at this point in his career, it is risking everything for everything ”.

Regarding Michel, his daughter, it seems that he doesn’t want her to get married. Will he fear being a grandfather?

“More than the fear of being a grandfather, it is the fear that his daughter will fall into his same mistakes. As a grandfather I see him as a very consenting grandfather ”.

Would it affect you?

“Noooo, Luis Miguel is already beyond everything. He is an edge and before that nothing and nobody can affect him ”.

What do we expect in your new show? because he has not said and can be equal to all.

“That’s the million dollar question. He has a daunting task. Several years ago the Spanish press interviewed me for a review I did about one of their shows which I classified as repetitive and lacking in soul and feeling. I hope he returns with a very stately show, with an orchestra and great ballads. In the more than 30 years that I have reviewed concerts, nobody but nobody has impressed me as much as him, in that way in which his voice became an accomplice of a spectacular orchestra. He must come back with something paralyzing. He has a voice, songs and now an image of a leading man, what more can you ask for in life ”.

He doesn’t have a new record. What do you know about this?

“You don’t need a new record to come back. His musical repertoire is so extensive that it would go out of business. He doesn’t have a record, but he should let himself be advised by great producers like Emilio Estefan, to do something new, fresh, but without losing his stamp, it would be sensational”.
