Mainz 05 have confirmed the signing of Ludovic Ajorque (28). The center forward joins the Bundesliga from Ligue 1 club Racing Strasbourg and has signed a contract until 2026.
After central defender Andreas Hanche-Olsen (26), the left-footed player is Mainz’s second newcomer this winter. A Bundesliga change was already in the air in the summer, with Hertha BSC and VfB Stuttgart showing interest in Ajorque at the time.
His goal tally this season is far less successful than the previous season. While Ajorque still had 20 points (12 goals, eight assists) in 36 Ligue 1 games in 2021/22, it was now just one goal in 13 appearances.
