“Very serious facts”. Marine Le Pen repeated her indignation this Wednesday on France 2, after deputies from the National Rally (RN) – but also from the majority – received malicious messages during the examination of the pension reform in the National Assembly on Monday .
“We have filed a complaint,” said the head of the deputies of the far-right formation, specifying that these facts “can be heavily sanctioned by the penal code”.
“I hope we will find the bandit who committed this ignominy,” said the three-time presidential candidate.
“Drop our referendum motion”
“Four or five of our female MPs” received “a message telling them that one of their children is in hospital,” Marine Le Pen said on Monday after these events.
The timing was crucial for the far right to table a referendum motion, aiming to hold a referendum on the government’s pension reform. However, to be eventually adopted, this provision requires the presence of all its signatories at the time of its examination.
“It is a maneuver which aimed to get our deputies out of the hemicycle to bring down our referendum motion”, thus judged Marine Le Pen on France 2. Jordan Bardella, president of the party to the flame, accused the left half-word on BFMTV on Monday, explaining that it “participates in social violence today in our country”.
