Man arrested after setting fire to another

A man is arrested after setting another man on fire on a subway platform in Greenwich Village, Manhattan.

The police say that the incident occurred this Saturday around 2:45 in the afternoon while the 23-year-old victim was waiting for the train on line “1.” at the Houston Street station.

That’s when the suspect allegedly threw a flammable liquid at him, and ignited him just as the train was entering the station.

The attacker fled the scene, although he was later arrested at Canal and Renwick streets.

The victim is being treated for burns to his upper torso.
