Man in pajamas fell from a luxurious hotel in front of Central Park in New York

A man died after falling from a height of 750 feet (228 meters) last night from the roof of the luxurious hotel “Mandarin Oriental” in Columbus Circle in front of the famous Central Park in New York.

Police believe the man jumped shortly after 9 p.m. after taking a service elevator to the roof, dressed in pajamas. The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene. Does not appear to have been a guest at the hotel or live in their residencesindicated New York Post.

When falling hit the glass awning of the hotel and his body was split in half. An arm was found across the street, where construction scaffolding was visible dripping with blood, according to sources. No crime is suspected at this timethe police said.

It is one of the most expensive hotels in the city. A standard room with a view of Central Park can cost upwards of $1,195 per night. It is located on the top 19 floors of the 55-story Deutsche Bank Center tower, which also houses residences with millionaires and Hollywood celebrities.

Last week a 72-year-old man reportedly fell fatally from his apartment on the 5th floor of a building on West 13th Street in the famous neighborhood West Village of Manhattan (NYC) and his body remained unnoticed for about 25 hours, reported another tenant.

In mid-July, three elderly men fell fatally from luxury buildings within 30 hours in Manhattan. One of the victims was a 91-year-old military veteran.
