Sandra just can’t believe that Anette has exonerated Malte and makes serious accusations against her. After all, it is clear that Anette would commit perjury in court if she continued to tell the untruth about Malte. In her distress, Anette sees only one way out. When Malte is released, she goes with him to the registry office, because as his wife, she does not have to testify against him.

Sandra is completely stunned that Anette took this step. She arranges a house search in order to convict Malte after all. However, Anette became suspicious in time and let Malte’s second cell phone and thus the last piece of evidence disappear.

The arranged house search and the missing phone are, however, too much for the former friendship of Sandra and Anette. Both feel betrayed by each other, the friendship falls apart, and Anette suffers as a result. After all, she lost her family with Sandra, so to speak.

Malte is willing to do something selfless to mend the bond between Sandra and Anette. He offers Anette to testify against him and wants to go to prison voluntarily. She is touched by so much nobility and makes it clear to Sandra: There can only be reconciliation if Sandra accepts Malte. Yet although Dörte starts a desperate attempt at reconciliation, Sandra does not manage to jump over her shadow. The bond between Anette and Malte, on the other hand, is getting closer and closer.
