Monterrey, NL.- He received messages of support, yes, but his own fans also let Mauricio Ochmann know that his thing is to act, not sing.
This Wednesday, the protagonist of the film ¿Y Como Is He? He debuted as a singer with the release of his EP titled Origin and started promoting his single “En Defensa Propia”.
The comments on his Instagram account rained down on him, and although Ochmann was no stranger to the criticism he received, he prefers to keep the positive messages.
“I am very used to and very seasoned in that part of the opinions and points of view, because for many years I know that not everyone can like you,” said the protagonist of El Chema, in a telephone interview.
“There are people who love you and people who don’t, who like what I do and who don’t, there are those who prefer me for bad and others for good, or those who love me in comedy and others in drama”.
However, Ochmann said he was respectful of opinions, good and bad.
“Cobbler to your shoes, you are definitely not a good singer, what you are is a tremendous actor.” “But what a need”, “No thanks, nice try”, “Oh no why are you doing this Mau, such a good actor”, “As a singer he is a very good actor”, they wrote to him.
Although there were also fans who defended him.
“It seems to me that he sings well, I hope bad comments don’t affect him”, “Success, not everyone dares to do what they like”, “I thought it was Alexander Acha, wow”.
It is not possible for anyone to make the public like everything equally, it is impossible, the actor assured.
“My purpose is not to do something to please everyone. This is a stage of mine and I want to share it. I stay with all the people who vibrate with what I do at the moment and I respect those who don’t like it and it’s okay Ochman added.
Origin was born as a result of the fact that he resumed writing one day when he was in the shower, he told, he presented the writing to his teacher and what he thought was a poem, he made him see that it was his first song.
Just as as a child he found refuge and a safe place in acting that helped him express his emotions, so it is now with music.
“I found in singing that it was very liberating, therapeutic and healing. As a child I wrote many poems. At 12, something happened that I stopped writing. I was always a child who internalized a lot,” said the 45-year-old actor.
He still does not know if he will formally combine acting with music. For now, Origin was a pleasure that he loved himself.
However, he does not rule out continuing to write songs either.
Even about the possibility of performing live as a singer, it is an idea that Ochmann leaves on the table for now.
“I think I need more songs to get on stage, but I don’t know, I might as well do the experiment later because it would be nice to share it live, with musicians and me singing. I would need to add six more songs to make it a little show,” he said.
