Things got hot again on Deadline Day: Inter Milan were looking for a replacement for Milan Skriniar (28), should he switch to Paris St. Germain in winter. Because the transfer fell apart in the end, the Nerazzurri’s interest in Konstantinos Mavropanos also petered out – at least for the time being, after all Skriniar is leaving the ship free of charge in the summer. So a substitute is needed.
The view could wander towards Mavropanos again. The central defender knows that, as do those responsible at VfB Stuttgart. Mavropanos leaves VfB future open
The massive right footer is still tied to VfB until 2025. There is no exit clause, so the fee would be freely negotiable. In this respect, Mavropanos would definitely be dependent on the Swabians’ willingness to cooperate. “I can’t say what will happen in the future”the defender clarifies, “As we all know, things can change very quickly in professional football.”
Without a doubt, Inter won’t be the only team eyeing the former Arsenal player. In the past, Atlético Madrid, among others, had requested. Mavropanos would fit in well with the Rojiblancos simply because of his physical style of play.
