You are currently viewing Meg Ryan: This is particularly embarrassing for her children

One of Meg Ryan’s scenes recently led to an odd moment that was quite embarrassing for her son and daughter.

Even for children who are long grown up, their own parents can sometimes be embarrassing. Jack Quaid, 31, and Daisy True Ryan, 19, the son and daughter of Meg Ryan, 61, recently found the same thing. An old scene from one of her films now led to a curious situation.

Meg Ryan became one of the queens of Hollywood romantic comedy in the late 1980s and 1990s. As film fans can already guess, this case is about her world-famous orgasm scene from the 1989 romantic comedy “Harry and Sally”, in which she acts out a climax for her co-star Billy Crystal, 75.

The deli and the call

“It’s funny, my son just called me this morning and he’s staying at a hotel in New York across the street from Katz’s Deli,” Ryan tells Carol Burnettfor the “Interview Magazine”. The scene was filmed in Katz’s Delicatessen. A sign still hangs there today, pointing to the table where Ryan is said to have been sitting.

“My daughter was here and everyone was on the speakerphone and they were like, ‘Mom, this is a very unique embarrassment,'” laughs Ryan in the conversation. Her son then told me about the sign with an arrow pointing to the table. But Ryan wonders if it’s the right table.

After today’s classics like “Harry and Sally”, “Sleepless in Seattle” (1993) or “Email for You” (1998), things have been pretty quiet about Meg Ryan in the film business in recent years. However, she soon makes her love comedy comeback. Recently became a first trailer for “What Happens Later” published. In the film, she not only plays the leading role alongside “The X-Files” star David Duchovny, 63, but also directs it. Theatrical release in the US is October 13th.
