While the possible launch date of Pikmin 4 is leaked, Nintendo closes the third quarter of the fiscal year without giving precise indications regarding the fate of the unfortunate Metroid Prime 4.

After a complete development reboot and handing over the project to Retro Studiosthe new adventure of Samus Aran has completely disappeared from the radar of videogame news. In presenting the latest financial results to investors, the Kyoto giant reconfirmed the dates and launch windows of important exclusives arriving on Nintendo Switchreiterating the following schedule:

  • Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe: February 24, 2023;
  • Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon: March 17, 2023;
  • The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: May 12, 2023;
  • Picmin 4:2023
  • Metroid Prime 4: TBA;
  • Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp: TBA;

No update therefore on the future of Metroid Prime 4, which may not find space on the hybrid console this year either. Also missing are the details on Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camppostponed following the outbreak of war in Ukraine and still unreleased today.

For the moment, Samus Aran fans can do nothing but pin their hopes on the rumors that a new Nintendo Direct is coming in February, with Metroid Prime 4 among the possible protagonists.
