Campeche, Cam.- During the visit of Miguel Diaz-Canel President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador urged the US government to lift the economic blockade “as soon as possible” Cuba.

Upon his arrival, the Mexican president reiterated his interest in continuing to strengthen the bilateral union and continue implementing joint actions for the good of both nations.

The Mexican Government awarded the decoration of aztec eagle in collar degree to the Cuban president in the Edzná archaeological zone, Campeche.

In his speech, the chief of the federal executive urged President of the United States, Joe Bidento “not take advantage” of other countries and assured that the nations of America must move towards a new stage of coexistence.

“As a sign of good will and willingness to fraternize, among all the countries of America, I consider and express it with respect, that the government of the United States must, as soon as possible, lift the unjust and inhumane blockade against the people of Cuba, so that they do not forget what Washington said, nations should not take advantage of the misfortune of other peoples.” said the federal president.

Lopez Obrador made a call to step aside “the dilemma that was imposed between joining the United States or opposing us in a courageous or defensive way.”

The president proposes dialogue between heads of state “and especially with the US rulers and getting to know them and persuade them that a new relationship between the countries of the entire continent, of all of America is possible.”

“Long live free and sovereign Cuba! Long live our America! Long live universal brotherhood! Long live Mexico! Long live Mexico! Long live Mexico!”, concluded.
