A Miami man won a $1 million prize with the $20 GOLD RUSH LIMITED scratch-off game.

José Ramírez, 59, claimed his prize at the Lottery’s Miami District Office and elected to receive his winnings as a one-time lump sum payment of $795,000. the Florida Lottery said in a statement.

Ramirez purchased his winning ticket at Circle K, located at 24996 Overseas Highway in Summerland Key.

The retailer will receive an additional $2,000 commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.

The GOLD RUSH LIMITED $20 scratch-off game launched in September 2021 and features 32 top prizes of $5 million and 100 prizes of $1 million.

Plus, it includes more than 33,000 prizes from $1,000 to $100,000. The overall odds of winning the game are 1 in 2.65.

Scratch-off games are an important part of the Lottery’s gaming portfolio, comprising approximately 72 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2022-2023.

Since their inception, scratch-off games have generated more than $18.39 billion for the Education Improvement Trust Fund (EETF).

Last week, Mario Torres, 47, of Boynton Beach, won the same amount of money with the same scratch-off game.

Torres also elected to receive his winnings in a lump sum payment of $795,000.

At the beginning of November, a Florida woman won $5 million in the Florida Lottery’s CASHWORD scratch-off game.

Janice Velez, of Kissimmee, had purchased the winning ticket after stopping at a gas station.

The woman also claimed the jackpot at Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee and elected to receive her winnings in a lump sum payment of $3,915,000.
