The PlayStation 5 (PS5) DualSense controller is one of the most comfortable and impressive that the manufacturer has developed in recent years. Microsoft also seems to know this and would be doing everything possible to create a new controller for your Xbox with similar features.

For a couple of generations the controller developed by Sony has distinguished itself as being more versatile for a wide range of game genres. While the alternative for the Microsoft console specializes more in shooting or racing titles.

However, with the passing of each new generation of consoles, it has become a little more clear that Sony has perfected many details with the controller. So now Microsoft could be in the process of imitating a highly relevant detail.

What would the Microsoft controller be like that would imitate that of the PS5

According to the most recent episode of the podcast of The XboxEra, The people of Microsoft would work on the development of a new controller for their Xbox system focused on repeating the most distinctive feature of Sony’s current DualSense: haptic vibration.

Nick “Shpeshal Nick” Baker, host of the podcast, said he had heard a rumor that Microsoft would be working internally and testing a new controller for Xbox consoles.

This control in theory would have a touch panel and a haptic vibration system, which would make it very similar to the DualSense that we all know with the other console.

The origin of this report, as revealed by the driver himself, would be a message he received through his social networks, so its veracity and possibility of verification is almost nil.

Due to this, the report must be taken with relative reserve and curiosity, since it would take a long time to verify if it is authentic or not.

This detail of the haptic triggers was shown to be something curious but not very important when the PlayStation 5 was presented.

However, over time it has proven to be an important factor in achieving better gaming immersion.

It should be noted that even the Nintendo Switch has a similar reactive system in its controls, so the Sony controller does not have this detail exclusively.

Although under such a context, Microsoft would then be left far behind in this competition within said field.
