O Canalys’ latest report on global mobile phone sales for the first quarter indicates that the market was down 13% – with the iPhone the only exception.
While Apple saw a 3% increase in the number of iPhones shipped to stores, Samsung saw an 18% drop, Xiaomi 22%, Oppo 8% and Vivo 17%. In total, 269.8 million mobile phones were sent to stores.
However, Canalys is optimistic about the second half of 2023, noting that there should be an increase in sales of these electronic devices.
