A few days ago, Microsoft recognized the ZeniMax union made up of over 300 employees of the company which owns the Bethesda subsidiaries. The Redmond house therefore takes the opportunity to try to ‘reconcile’ with the FTC, the US body that is evaluating the agreement for the acquisition of Activision.

In an open letter published by buying an entire page of the Washington Post, the US tech giant says it is openly in favor of training and recognition of trade unions within its subsidiaries.

The letter, entitled ‘A new year opens new doors’, takes up the news of the ZeniMax trade union recognition to extend the discussion to the activities that the American company intends to carry out in 2023 to improve the working environment and, with it, offer better products and services to its customers.

In the passage where Microsoft addresses the FTC, the Redmond company explains that “We are not asking the FTC to ignore competition concerns. Instead, we believe it is important to explore solutions that protect competition and consumers, while also promoting initiatives that benefit workers by addressing their needs. ensure the economic growth and innovation in the United States. We believe, however, that this was the spirit that led Congress to establish the FTC in 1914, and it is a spirit that is still worth keeping alive today.”.

Recently, some analysts have thought it likely that Microsoft will make concessions to the FTC to acquire Activision: among the initiatives suggested by industry insiders could be the legally binding promise of thearrival of Activision games on Game Pass and their inclusion in other similar subscriptions.
