Miguel Baidal wins the bronze in 10,000 in the European sub-23... and thus he broke down in tears at the finish line

ANDThe Spanish Miguel Baidal won the bronze medal this Sunday in the 10,000 meters of the European Under-23 Athletics Championships that are held in the Finnish town of Espoo, thus adding the eighth medal for the national team.

Baidal made a mark of 29:14.91 and was only surpassed by the British Rory Leonard, with 29.08.33 and the Italian Francesco Guerra with 29:11.86. This is the third medal in history in this distance and category. After the effort, and after the bronze achieved, Baidal broke down sobbing at the finish line, sitting on the ground. “It’s been a run,” he admitted afterwards. “I dedicate it to my family, to mine.”

In the same test, Adri Ceballos was ninth with 29:45.03 and Mario Priego, fourteenth with 30:04.35.
