AC Milan will have to do without their midfield veteran Ismaël Bennacer for a long time. As the Milanese officially announce on their website, the 25-year-old will be absent for at least six months. The Algerian underwent successful knee surgery this Tuesday morning.

In the Champions League semi-final first leg against city rivals Inter Milan (0:2), the defensive midfielder had to be replaced in the 18th minute of the game. Bennacer was then diagnosed with a cartilage lesion in his right knee. In today’s semi-final second leg, the Rossoneri will probably have to do without right-back Allesandro Florenzi (32) in addition to their left foot.
