About fifty countries which militarily support the efforts led by Ukraine to repel the Russian invader meet on Friday for an 8th “telethon”. German Chancellor Scholz remained mysterious about his intentions on Wednesday. Zelensky calls for heavy tanks.

Lhe western front supporting the defense of Ukraine is holding firm. Contrary, one might think, to the calculations of the master of the Kremlin, for whom the combination of soaring energy prices and the systematic pounding of Ukrainian civil infrastructures could have led to a “fatigue” of the West. We are not there yet. The meeting on Friday at the American military base in Ramstein (Germany) of the coalition of around fifty countries that support kyiv’s military effort should, on the contrary, lead to new, significant arms deliveries. “More support, heavier and more modern weapons,” the NATO Secretary General suggested on Wednesday during a discussion at the Davos Economic Forum in the Swiss mountains. “The situation is urgent, time is running out”, gauge Jens Stoltenberg.
But for kyiv, this mobilization remains too slow, much too slow.
