First up at the Xbox Developer Direct tonight was action-strategy game Minecraft Legends from Mojang and Blackbird Interactive – previously behind games like Hardspace: Shipbreaker and Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak. The focus was on the game’s multiplayer mode and it was explained that you can both play through the game’s campaign in co-op online (also via crossplay), but also that a PVP mode with match making is offered for up to four players in each team, where the goal is to destroy the opponent’s base.

Communication and cooperation should be the key to success, which should be facilitated, among other things, by the fact that one’s entire team shares resources, and to ensure Minecraft’s patented variety, the courses are randomly generated at the beginning of each game round. The release date is set for April 18th and the platforms that apply are all you can think of. Watch the full trailer HERE.
