Eva Högl: First studied law, then went to the Ministry of Labour
The native Lower Saxony was born in Osnabrueck in 1969. Högl studied law there and in Leiden in the Netherlands and did his doctorate in European labor and social law. After her second state examination in 1999, she switched to Ministry of Labour. She has been a party member of the SPD since 1987. From 2006 until she entered the Bundestag in 2009, she headed the department for European employment and social policy in the Ministry of Labour.
