Miracle Theater premieres the play A Rock Sails By

MIAMI.- The Actors’ Playhouse company premieres in the Miracle Theatre of Florida the constructions de Sean Grennan, A Rock Sails By. The production, which will be in theaters from May 15 to June 9, is directed by David Arisco and comes to the stage after the successful season of Now and Then, The Thing, also Grennan.

The play tells the story of Dr. Lynn Cummings, an astrophysicist who seeks to balance science and faith while grappling with personal questions, reconnecting with her daughter, and grieving the loss of her husband.

However, when an unidentified object is discovered heading toward Earth, a disreputable online magazine misquotes it, calling its credibility into question. “Dr. Cummings hopes not to witness anything extraordinary and thus save her reputation, but there is no telling what she will discover beyond the stars,” reads the synopsis.

Equipment

Actress Laura Turnbull is in charge of giving life to the protagonist of this story, and it is her third participation in a Sean Grennan production.

Behind the scenes, scenic design by Brandon M. Newton, lighting design by Eric Nelson, costume design by Ellis Tillman, sound design by Reidar Sorensen, set and property design by Jodi Dellaventura, production direction by Carlos Correa and Direction production scene by Amy London.

The production is supported by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, the Miami Dade County Cultural Affairs Council and Mayor, and the Board of County Commissioners for Significant Cultural Institutions.
