“Titanic” star Leonardo DiCaprio (48) is considered a heartthrob in Hollywood. With actress Mischa Barton (37), however, he triggers unpleasant memories.

“If you want to advance your career, go and sleep with the man,” her then press agent Craig Schneider is said to have advised her.
Barton revealed this in a 2005 interview with Harper’s & Queen magazine. At the time, Mischa was 19, had already made a few films and had just become a worldwide TV star as a rich, alcoholic high school student Marissa Cooper in the television series “OC, California”.
And the over-30-year-old DiCaprio? He was already a world star (“Gilbert Grape – Somewhere in Iowa”, “Jim Carroll – In the Streets of New York”, “Titanic”, “Catch Me If You Can”) – and after the separation from Supermodel Gisele Bundchen (42 today) just single again.

“Isn’t Leo already 30 or something?” Mischa Barton is said to have reacted in shock to the immoral offer.
She decided against pushing her fame even further with a DiCaprio affair. How come? The Hollywood star was simply “too old” for her. She has no interest in “older men,” explained Mischa Barton.
Whether DiCaprio knew about the sex proposal is unknown.
